SOCIAL SECURITY

20.   Protection of Social Security System: I will do everything in my power to protect and expand the protections afforded by social security to senior citizens.

The naysayers like to say Social Security is an entitlement that the government can't afford. But in reality, the government can't afford to violate the public trust.  The social security laws created by the the Roosevelt administration to reimburse citizens with the money it has taken from their paychecks for their retirement must not be dismantled.  Social Security has worked for the past 85 years and will continue to work in the future. All Congress has to do is eliminate the cap on income subject to the social security tax and there will be more than enough money for future generations.

21.   Congress to participate in social security: Congress shall have no separate government sponsored retirement and healthcare programs and shall participate equally in the people's healthcare, Medicare and Social Security programs.
